FAQ

Is Botox® safe for treating excessive sweating?

Yes. Botox® is FDA-approved for axillary hyperhidrosis and is widely used off-label for other areas.

How soon will I stop sweating?

Most patients notice a decrease in sweat within 2–5 days, with maximum dryness in 10–14 days.

How long do the results last?

Typical dryness lasts 4–6 months. Regular maintenance treatments help extend control.

Does it hurt?

The injections feel like tiny pinpricks. Numbing cream or ice can be used to enhance comfort.

What areas can be treated?

Most commonly: underarms, hands, feet, scalp, and face. We can assess less common areas too.

Will Botox® stop all my sweating?

It significantly reduces sweat in the treated area, but your body can still sweat elsewhere.

Is there downtime?

None. You can return to daily activities immediately—just avoid heavy workouts for 24 hours.

Are there side effects?

Mild bruising or tenderness may occur. In hand treatments, some patients report brief grip weakness.

Will I need to keep doing this forever?

You can stop anytime, but most patients choose repeat treatments every 6 months for continuous relief.
