FAQ

What is Botox and how does it work?

Botox is a purified neurotoxin (botulinum toxin type A) that temporarily relaxes targeted muscles responsible for expression lines. By blocking nerve signals, it reduces muscle activity and smooths wrinkles.

Is Botox safe?

Yes, when administered by licensed professionals, Botox is extremely safe. It has been FDA-approved for both aesthetic and medical use for over two decades, with a long-standing track record of safety.

Will my face look frozen or unnatural?

Not at all. Our approach is conservative and precise. We focus on subtle enhancements that preserve natural facial expressions while softening harsh lines.

How long does a Botox session take?

Most treatments take just 15 to 20 minutes and require no downtime. It’s often called a “lunchtime procedure” because you can return to your daily routine immediately.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

Initial results begin to appear in 3–5 days, with full results in 10–14 days. Effects typically last 3 to 6 months, depending on your metabolism and treatment area.

Does the injection hurt?

Discomfort is minimal. Most patients describe the sensation as a quick pinch. A topical numbing cream can be applied for extra comfort if needed.

Can Botox be used preventively?

Yes. Starting Botox in your late 20s or 30s can help prevent expression lines from becoming deeper static wrinkles, maintaining smoother skin over time.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are rare and mild — typically slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These effects resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.

What areas can Botox treat?

Common areas include the forehead, crow’s feet, frown lines (glabella), masseter muscles (jawline slimming), neck bands, and even underarms for excessive sweating.

Who is not a candidate for Botox?

Pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain neurological disorders, or those allergic to botulinum toxin should not receive Botox. A consultation will determine your eligibility.
