FAQ

What is an eyebrow transplant?

An eyebrow transplant is a minimally invasive procedure where hair follicles—typically taken from the scalp—are transplanted into the eyebrow area to restore volume, improve shape, or replace hair lost due to overplucking, scars, or genetics. Often referred to as an eyebrow implant in beauty circles, the result is completely natural because the hair is your own.

Are eyebrow implants suitable for both men and women?

Yes. Both men and women choose eyebrow implants to achieve fuller, better-defined brows. Men often prefer a flatter, straighter shape, while women tend to seek arched or lifted designs. Each transplant is fully customized to your facial structure and aesthetic goals.

How long does an eyebrow transplant procedure take?

The procedure typically takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the number of grafts needed and the complexity of the design. It’s performed under local anesthesia, so you’re comfortable and awake the entire time.

Will the results of an eyebrow implant look natural?

Absolutely. Each hair is individually placed at the correct angle and direction to mimic natural eyebrow growth. Because the donor hair comes from your own scalp, the results blend seamlessly with your existing brows—especially when performed by an experienced specialist.

What is the recovery time after an eyebrow transplant?

Recovery is quick and straightforward. Most patients experience mild redness and small scabs for 5–7 days. You can resume normal activities within 24–48 hours, and the final results become visible after a few months, once the new hairs start growing.

Will I need more than one eyebrow implant session?

For most patients, one session is enough. However, some may choose a refinement session after 9–12 months to enhance density or perfect the shape. This depends on personal preferences and how the transplanted follicles grow.

Are eyebrow transplant results permanent?

Yes. The transplanted follicles establish a new blood supply and continue growing permanently. Unlike makeup or microblading, an eyebrow implant is a long-term solution that doesn’t fade or require constant maintenance.

Is the procedure painful?

Not at all. An eyebrow transplant is done under local anesthesia, so you won’t feel pain during the process. Afterward, you may feel some tightness or mild soreness for a day or two, which is easily manageable with basic care.

Who is a good candidate for an eyebrow implant?

You’re a great candidate if you have:

  • Naturally thin or patchy eyebrows
  • Overplucked brows or scarring
  • A desire for permanent, low-maintenance brow density
  • Good overall health and realistic expectations
